The Story

An exclusive collaboration between Asprey and Jonathan Harris, the renowned British contemporary glass artist. This exquisite vase, made from lead-free studio glass, is a testament to the meticulous attention to detail and craftsmanship that defines Asprey.

Part of the Four Seasons Collection, this vase embodies the vibrant essence in the English spring countryside with its stunning green hues, symbolizing the reawakening of nature after the long winter months. Each vase is engraved with iconic British flora, including the delicate dandelion, resilient bracken, and ethereal cherry blossom, alongside charming bumble bees.

Made with intrinsic cameo carving methods, these vases are the epitome of artistic fusion. Through a meticulous process involving fine diamond drill engraving and contemporary carving techniques, the vases are hand-carved with exquisite detail and relief on the interior.

Mouth blown and built up in layers of rich transparent glass colours, the vase boasts multiple strata of pure colour, creating a blank canvas for the carving work. The interior surface is then intricately carved through the coloured layers, resulting in a captivating cameo relief effect. Each piece in the collection is truly one-of-a-kind, taking an impressive 20 to 25 hours to produce.

Each vase is engraved with its individual number within the year of production. It also bears the Asprey branding on the base and is signed by Jonathan Harris. As a subtle detail for collectors, a hidden set of JH initials is blended within each design. With its exclusivity to Asprey and its embodiment of timeless British craftsmanship, this vase stands as a testament to refined elegance and artistic excellence.
