Each vase features the leaves and acorns of one of the most familiar of British trees, the mighty oak along with the ladybird insect.
Made with intrinsic cameo carving methods, these vases are the epitome of artistic fusion. Through a meticulous process involving fine diamond drill engraving and contemporary carving techniques, the vases are hand-carved with exquisite detail and relief on the interior.
Mouth blown and built up in layers of rich transparent glass colours, the vase boasts multiple strata of pure colour, creating a blank canvas for the carving work. The interior surface is then intricately carved through the coloured layers, resulting in a captivating cameo relief effect. Each piece in the collection is truly one-of-a-kind, taking an impressive 35 to 40 hours to produce.
Each vase is engraved with its individual number within the year of production. It also bears the Asprey branding on the base and is signed by Jonathan Harris.
